ShipCSX Manage Inventory - Delete Switch Request
The ShipCSX Manage Inventory tool now provides the ability to delete cars from a pending switch request, without crossing over to the Plant Switch tool. Access this feature through the new menu labeled "Additional Features". Select "Delete Cars from Request" to open a frame with a list of cars on a switch request. A checkbox will be presented next to the cars that are eligible for deletion and a lock will appear next to cars that are issued to a work order.

New ShipCSX Shipping Instructions functionality
ShipCSX Shipping Instructions has added a new Reject notice functionality. A link to the new "Rejected' bucket has been added to the existing Reject notices allowing users who are subscribed to receive these emails to easily access the voided bill of lading in the Shipping Instructions tool. Once you click on the link and log into ShipCSX, the bill details will be loaded on the Ship page allowing you to correct any errors and re-submit your bill of lading.

The ""Rejected"' bucket in Shipping Instructions also has new functionality enabling you to re-submit any rejected bills directly from this screen.

This new functionality is designed to make re-submitting rejected bills of lading an easier, more efficient experience.
Customized Service Advisory Notifications
At CSX, we recognize the importance of communicating unexpected changes on our network that will affect your shipments. Our new and improved Service Advisory notifications will do just that - inform you only when a delay, caused by a track blockage or weather event, will affect your business.

You can now log on to ShipCSX.com and subscribe to receive these customized Service Advisory notifications. You will only receive these notifications if you have an en route shipment that will be delayed because of track or weather-related events.

These notices will include:

  • The reason for the delay
  • Estimated delay length
  • List of equipment that will be affected

You can also sign up to receive weather alert notices that will notify you of weather in your area that has the potential to cause local service delays.

These important notices were created to provide more transparency and information that directly affects your operation, and eliminates unnecessary email notifications. The Service Advisory notifications will be easy to recognize and will look like this:

Here's how to subscribe to them:

  • Look for the Email Subscription tool in the Resources drop-down of ShipCSX.
  • Click on an advisory's checkbox and select what shipments or locations you want to be notified about.
  • Click the "Submit' button at the bottom of the page and you are subscribed to receive them.

The new Service Advisory notices can be found in the Customer Notifications section.
