New Carload Diversions Tool
Coming in 2013, our new Diversions tool will allow you to:

  • Submit diversion requests online

  • Check the status of existing requests that you or representatives of your company have submitted

    • The status of a request will indicate exactly where you are in the process and will enable you to edit the pending ones

  • Subscribe to be notified when a request has been received and processed

The new online Diversions tool will eliminate the need to phone or fax requests to CSX. It will now be a quick and easy process to submit, check the status, and receive confirmation via email, once your diversion request has been processed.

Plant Switch Enhancements
Plant Characteristics: ShipCSX Plant Switch has recently undergone a makeover to improve the presentation of important industry information to customers. In addition to cleaning up and reorganizing the information in an easy to read format, we have provided a collapse feature to hide or show the Plant Characteristics & Summary information for an even cleaner user experience.

Track Capacity Details: CSX is working to improve the information we have on file for your locations. Once your location's track details and capacities have been verified, the Plant Switch tool now shares that information with you. A new information icon next to 'Plant Capacity" presents track information such as: track ID, name, capacity, direction, and other important details. This visibility helps CSX and customers maintain accurate and up-to-date information, helping us exceed your service expectations.
ShipCSX ETA Notifications Coming February 15
Coming February 15, 2013, ShipCSX will now offer ETA Notifications.

For CSXT shipments, ETA Notifications will alert you each time your shipment's ETA changes by 24 hours or more after an original ETA is established.

The new notification will provide you with:

  • Previous Reported ETA - This is what your shipment's ETA was prior to the New ETA change

  • Original ETA - This first ETA generated at the start of your shipment's trip

  • ETA Type - Planned Placement at Industry, Planned Arrival at Serving Yard or Planned Interchange Delivery

  • ETA Change History - ETA changes of your shipment in chronological order
